His interpretation regarding the thesis that Mattias is basically blaming the victim is based on his lack of comprehension of the thesis that there were predicator social characteristics. I know Mattias very well, and just visited him for two days last weekend. He is perfectly fine with the terminology used. Mass formation = crowd formation. Mass psychosis is also a valid term. Mattias is also comfortable with the term Mass formation psychosis .

Ive listened to many of Desmits interviews and he never seems to blame the victim as they describe. I always thought he was encouraging peaceful resistance and moving to a parallel society. Guess I should read his book. He inspired me to listen to Lebon’s book psychology of a crowd and it was fascinating (and terrifying). In my experience, Desmits peaceful, firm approach was more effective than aggressive arguing. Almost no one responded well to my impassioned, well thought out arguments. My goal over the last few years changed from “waking people up” to self preservation. It’s been rough, and I am grateful for tenacious people like you and Katherine. ❤️

I'm adding another 'critical' book review, this one by Ulrike Granögger. Not because I want to pile on - but more to balance out perhaps nearly ubiquitously positive views. I'm sure there is room for disagreement on a single theory in our growing community as well as recognizing that there many angles in which to view and explain what we've lived through and continue to struggle to understand regarding the confusing and irrational last couple years. There will no doubt, in years to come be many more theories. More likely one theory can't cover the entire phenomena anyway, and has a piece of it, rather than the whole.

These hypotheses (planned conspiracy vs. mass formation) are not mutually exclusive, IMO.
