Catherine Austin Fitts and Dr. Peter Breggin Discuss Mass Formation
A critical take on Desmet's book
I listened to an interview between Catherine Austin Fitts an Dr. Peter Breggin (link at bottom) and thought worth sharing. Both Fitts and Breggin are long time advocates for humanity and have been sounding the alarm bells of our waning freedoms, well before the Covid PSYOP. I respect them both enormously.
The discussion centered around Matias Desmet’s book - The Psychology of Totalitarianism and his theory of mass formation - which (you likely know) is an explanation of the apparent mass-hypnosis we’ve witnessed on all things Covid.
Many of us - myself included - were happy to hear Desmet’s explanation for why so many people seemed unable to take in an alternative views regarding Covid. Any solid theory to explain the two worlds that seemed to emerge was more than welcome, and Desmet presents as a highly thoughtful and reasonable person.
Dr. Robert Malone often referenced the book and this no doubt added to the overall enthusiasm. (Though Dr. Malone continually, incorrectly refers to it as Mass Formation Psychosis)
So when I heard Catherine mention it critically and that there was a discussion with Breggin, who is also critical of it, I was certainly interested in a counter perspective.
I’m glad I watched it.
Dr. Breggin, is co-author with his wife, Ginger, of Covid-19 and the Global Predators. (As well as many other books.) Having read that book, which I also recommend, as well as listened to him in multiple interviews, I am a big fan. His background in psychology makes him particularly well informed for the discussion on mass formation.
It was a good reminder for me, how important it is to be discerning. As they cover in this discussion, Desmet’s book is simply a theory, and they both agree, doesn’t hold up well to scrutiny. More importantly, they believe it acts as something of a cover for the Globalists and actually blames ‘us’ for the rise in totalitarianism. In other words, we create the conditions for the tyrants to emerge. I never actually heard Desmet say anything along those lines, so this was very surprising, though apparently this is clear in the book. (Which I have not yet read. though I still plan to.)
I have listened to four or five Matias Desmet interviews and while I never thought his theory explained everything, the elements he discussed made sense to me - particularly regarding the free-floating anxiety and lack of meaning many people were feeling prior to Covid, which contributed to their desire to find meaning and community. (I don’t think we can exclude the massive push in propaganda, programming and entrainment or its sophistication which goes far beyond what most of us understand.)
Would love to hear your comments, after listening to the discussion. (Particularly if you’ve read Desmet’s book.)

Hello there. Breggin does not understand the theory, and makes some common mistakes in interpreting it. His interpretation regarding the thesis that Mattias is basically blaming the victim is based on his lack of comprehension of the thesis that there were predicator social characteristics. I know Mattias very well, and just visited him for two days last weekend. He is perfectly fine with the terminology used. Mass formation = crowd formation. Mass psychosis is also a valid term. Mattias is also comfortable with the term Mass formation psychosis .
Kathleen. Thank you for sharing this video. Very profound. We must not blame the victims. We must blame the evil globalists and not be afraid to confront this evil. We must not lose faith, hope and love (1st Corinthians). I’ve been wanting to read Breggin’s book -going to make it a priority. God bless Catherine and Peter. And God bless you. I hope that Dr. Malone will watch this video. I will see him speak this weekend in Florence, KY. I hope I have the opportunity to mention it to him and to Jill.
