It’s The Truman Show - and we’re all Truman. Innocents unwittingly acting out our parts in a scripted play. Author of the play, or more likely, authors, unknown. You may not remember studying your lines, but trust me, they’ve been written for you and delivered in a multitude of ways - both consciously and unconsciously absorbed.
Shaped and directed since birth - we all have been - into a world that was shaped and directed long before that.
We don’t often think about it - the world we are born into - and what that means. Why would we? As Christof - the character in The Truman Show - who directs the show from the metaphorical clouds of the mega-studio says: “We accept the reality of the world with which we’re presented. It’s as simple as that.”
Indeed. The movie was both good entertainment and profound in its theme. I think we are collectively discovering just how profound.
What happens when we realize much of our reality was full of partial truths or outright lies? Of cover-ups and obfuscations? If the hero of the movie - Truman - is any indication, it creates a crises. And how could it not?
Worth noting too, while our protagonist will discover the world he’s known is an elaborate stage and he himself the main character, cluelessly providing entertainment for the masses, Truman, the person - as contained in his name - is quite real. The show wouldn’t have been very interesting if he wasn’t.
I use alternate names for the faceless group of controllers who direct the show behind the scenes. Sometimes I go with “Mr. Global”, sometimes “The Powers That Be” (TPTB). I also like “Shadow Controllers”. The sobriquet used doesn’t matter. They all amount to the man-behind-the-curtain. By any name, it doesn’t take much looking to see they determine the story. No small thing.
“Those who tell the stories rule the world.” Hopi proverb. (I’ve also seen it credited to Plato…? Maybe a reader will know.)
I don’t claim to know how TPTB and all their secret machinations work. But I know they exist. We have evidence of that. They use whatever they need to use; consolidation of power, capture of whole industries, bribery, extortion or simply force, to name a few. There’s probably lots of others I can’t even imagine. Perhaps they use old systems of knowledge, like astrology and numerology, as well. I wouldn’t doubt it, especially given that conventional wisdom would quickly dismiss them both.
I suspect some serious technological entrainment has developed right alongside with their ambitions. Brainwashing today has come a long way since Goebbels (though repetition remains effective) and we have ever so many more screens they can use. Broadcasting messages via signals that we don’t consciously receive is happening all the time too. (Graphene oxide actually makes you a better receiver.) Best not to go to bed with your phone in the room.
We need look only to some notable examples of squashed discoveries. Nikola Tesla comes to mind. Had he been allowed to pursue his inventions, and bring them to the world, we’d likely be living in a very different one right now. Clean, potentially free energy - That’s a hard no, says Mr. Global.
Cancer cures - the same. There have been many doctors with viable claims of cures for cancer. We don’t investigate, we shut them up and shut them down. Decades pass and we simply continue to raise money for the elusive cause of curing cancer. While beyond egregious, that anyone would squelch life-saving remedies from someone in need, cancer is apparently too lucrative to be cured. Besides from TPTB’s perspective - people are clearly expendable.
Another: I remember when I first came across images of giant skeletons that had been unearthed. I was floored. There were photos that had been printed in newspapers of these relics from an earlier time. The New York Times even - another relic - actually wrote about them. Was allowed to. (Of course that was back in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s before the vice got tighter.) I remember thinking, how could I have gone to school all those years and never learned about real giants?
You can read about it here:
The giant skeletons ended up in the Smithsonian where apparently many inconvenient discoveries that undermine our official history go to die. (I’m sure this has all been nicely debunked by some well-paid fact-checkers.)
But we need not go back one hundred years to see them in action. We watched the decades-long definition of vaccines change in real time to accommodate the Covid scamdemic. Think of that. Will young children remember a time when the definition was not what is stated today? Mr. Global hopes not.
We’ve also watched as some doctors, straight-faced, talk about how there was no way out of Covid without a vaccine. They literally skipped over natural immunity and what we might do to boost it. What immune system? Mr. Global would like you to think your immune system is no longer a meaningful thing. And plenty of people with PhD’s, paraded night after night on TV, apparently also don’t think it’s a thing. (It’s actually those letters (PhD) that are now in danger of losing all meaning.)
The doctors who would talk about it, along with genuinely safe and effective treatments - were not not invited on legacy media. And if their voices do get out - well there’s a whole army of character-assassins for that. Just ask Dr. Robert Malone, or Dr. Peter McCullough to name only two.
Media is critical to control for those who tell the stories.
These are just a few examples. When TPTB do allow information out - like for instance, on UFO’s, which they’ve been doing lately - you can be sure it will be a distorted, partial truth that serves whatever stage in their agenda they are ready to go live with. I’m watching for a UFO invasion simulation. They tend to tip their hand with those.
Despite this sounding like a long-winded complaint, I’m really thinking what’s happening in the world right now is very good. Because while it’s maddening to be lied to and manipulated and all the rest - let alone so obviously - the cracks happening in the world-we-were-presented-with, actually spell the Shadow Controllers doom and our freedom.
CNN watchers are an endangered species at this point (maybe they’ll be carted off to the Smithsonian too) and alternative news sources - despite being rife with gate-keepers and misinformation agents - continues to grow. Good signs. A renewed sense of purpose has been ignited in humans who are quickly catching up with the layers of deception. That’s really, really good. We’ve been asleep, but many of us are not asleep anymore.
So much positive is happening simultaneous to Mr. Global’s obvious and deeply flawed power grab. I like to remind myself of that.
As in the final scene of The Truman Show, when Truman sails his boat to the limit of his manufactured world, the story does not end there. In fact it’s only the illusion he’s been captured within that is over. No longer a captive, he opens the door to a new reality. A new story, and one he himself will author. (Albeit it will have illusions too - but a big layer’s been peeled off and he’s now someone who will question everything.)
We know when Truman exits the stage, he will have to reorient his sense of identity; our internal selves are fully entwined with our external world. If the facade of the world is falling, what of our identities attached to it? They’ll have to fall too.
Because, if the world is not what we thought it was, then chances are, neither are we.
Freed from the grip of Mr. Global’s play and its long-standing run of a limiting and spirit-crushing world, what will humanity look like? We’re going to find out.
Another favorite scene is when Truman asks his “creator”, Christof, “Was nothing real?” Christof’s reply: “You were real. That’s what makes you so good to watch.”
Exactly. And us humans, we’re real too. Just watch what we do.
