Nice piece. I read your's and 3-4 other substacks and that's it. I don't know the daily headlines and insane nonsense going on unless one of you reference them. Nature, good friends and family, support local stores and people, especially the young, as much as possible. Get close to our Creator, who loves us. Nothing is happening that He is not aware of. In the end, He wins. Why get riled up anymore? Just stop paying attention and life is better. It's not being a sheep. I KNOW what's happening, I just choose to live in the 1970s instead lol. I've even begun watching Family Affair on Pluto. (mute commercials). It's great to be stress free.

Oh, thank you, Broken Pottery.

I think you've got it figured out. Definitely your strategy is not being a sheep. It's really an acknowledgment that bigger forces are in play, and there is something deeply good and intelligent we can trust. Meantime yes, we can help - shopping local stores and being a good neighbor - where we can help. Watching the needed collapse is exhausting. I'm doing much less of it myself. Thank you for the wise comment. Best.

PS - I will have to check out Pluto!

As I reread this, I had the app wrong that Family Affair is on. It's actually the Roku channel itself. Of course when I watched it in the 70s I was closer to Buffy and Jodie's age, now I'm older then Uncle Bill. It's a really great show!

You nailed my thoughts exactly! Why get all riled up if there is nothing we can do? Except pray and become better. Better by maybe NOT being current on current events. Better by seeing what is real around us. ♥

And there is always the ripple effect. Who knows what child /teen sees what we do and wants no part of that society anymore either. A parallel better one ready to stand when their's collapses.

Yes, BP I have come to a similar state of mind. I've been hanging (in or out) with my seedlings under lights, in anticipation of Spring and the great planting of the garden. It has reawakened the kinder-gardener in me to reexperience the miracle of dropping a simple bit of something into dirt , patiently waiting and then witnessing the great emerging. Truly miraculous and I highly recommend !! Going on 3 years ago I moved from Seattle to the SD. Much easier to live in the 70's here and one of my goals was to try and go back in time. Success, I'm happy to report. :)

I’ve reached the same point that you speak of.

I am tired of witnessing it, tired of reading about it, yet still here every day thinking some bombshell occurrence will signal the end of our fellow humans being ‘nice’ as they hide from it all. What more shocking event or suddenly recognized lie will awaken the walking wounded mind, and or body !

Hope springs eternal as I wait and wonder.

Your beautifully written piece here is settling.

Your reminder to seek out the truth of nature in our midst is sage advice, if even for a moments reprieve.

Thank you for finishing this one.

I suspect it perfectly sums up what many of us are thinking at this unfortunate time.

Nevertheless, chin up to all ! ….every new day holds infinite possibilities within it.

A grand awakening could be in the works.

Thanks Wendy. Yeah, I would imagine many of us have weary days.

All we can do is keep going, doing our best version of ourselves (which in my case, some days is not so great) and finding meaning where we can.

Cheers to a great awakening.😘

We are complicit in our silence. Yet how crazy are we willing to sound? The truth is captured here with us, the awakened. Bouncing off of the walls of the truth bubble we find ourselves in. Sometimes truth is annoying, nature allows us to get away from all of it. Being a seeker of truth is lonely and unrewarding, this is why we lean on each other and continue on.

Kennedy, too me, is the perfect mechanism to add more confusion to our fog, another character we get to watch being eaten alive by the Deep State. It does add the new flavor, a Democrat eaten alive....and the polls are telling us 41% of Democrats will still vote for Biden. Kennedy does give the captured media someone new to chew on, as Trump is now successfully tied up to fighting his legal battles.

The awakened does not go back to sleep. This is our world, our truth bubble is expanding as we watch the world in disbelief. How can there be so many sleeping?

Truth rises to the top. Every time.

Thank you LIsa. I relate to much of what you write - though I am hopeful, that even with the inevitable distortions the media will create with Kennedy, he has the opportunity to clarify some things. Time will tell.

And yeah, no going back to sleep. But for those carrying the weight of knowing, there is repreive in nature..I'll continue to take advantage of that.

Your piece (peace) made me want to stop talking...for awhile. I’m going to think about 2 days, then maybe a week. But, it’s not “polite” to not speak. Maybe I will have cards made to hand to people--“keeping the peace by keeping silent--no words but love” Once, in my inner city classroom, a fight between two girls broke out. My only response was to go silent to restore peace. I consulted my principal about it, and he supported it. So the next day I invited my students to be silent with me to restore our classroom. A national Day of silence...I have platform tents on our wooded 27 acres. We could start there some spring weekend.🪺🌳

I want to tell you what recently happened to someone. A drag queen show for children was coming to their town, paid for by the taxpayers. This person could not get anyone to care - no one would speak up, the Christians were hiding in their churches, the Muslims didn't repond. A lone local politician asked polite questions but didn't get anywhere. But this person didn't quit. They emailed the town, alerted the authorities, and quietly persisted. Alone. The day before the show, knowing that women would be bringing their innocent children as sacrifices to be offered on the altar of BE KIND, this person said "Lord, I have run out of ideas. Please help. I don't ask for much. Actually...nothing. I just ask that you recognise my works."

The event was cancelled due to inclement weather. Amen.

"There is no winning with words anymore." How true. I've certainly reached the point where I feel the same. I can see the grade of deception all around me, yet I feel there is nothing left to say.

Meredith Miller writes on her substack: "Together we can witness what's happened and happening. We can put words to our experiences and call things for what they are."

I truly believe this is crutial to build and maintain our community. I know it feels like a (virtual) bubble, but still, this is a connection. Here in Austria I know many people who are feeling alone, without like-minded close friends who they could call when they're sad. Your and other's substack give us this spark of hope, that we are not alone. I hold on to this feeling as I know positive thoughts and social connection is the key to my sanity. Your writing is powerful, Kathleen. Please never underestimate that.

This post truly inspired me. Im not a gifted writer but I will try just for you. I have this vision of myself walking through a golden wheat field and in the center is a giant oak tree, when I get to it I laydown under it and watch the clouds for a spell. I do not know where it came from but the memory is more vivid than anything in the waking or dream world to me. I sometimes let my mind drift to that place when this world rejects me.

You are looking for answers in the wrong places. The word of God is law. God's laws are literally written into the fabric of the universe. His word is absolute. The law of God is also written on our hearts, this is the true meaning of conciousness. When we acknowledge this as truth and call out to Jesus as Lord something special happens. The source or oneness is the Holy Spirit, God with us. The truth of the Bible as the word of God is obvious. One need only spend a few minutes in nature to literly feel his presence. This is the ancient calm you feel, is the literal presence of God (his spirit imparts his thoughts to us). This is the living seal of god spoken of in revelation, the holy spirit is the source of all truth. When we listen to him and act in step with his will, we prove to whom we belong. God doesn't just choose you, you also have to choose him back. Predestination and the theology of the elect is butchered by organized religion. God doesn't change. You suffer so because you are spiritually healthy in a world of people who are terminally sick. Your nature demands you help heal it, but you cannot help those who do not want to be helped. This is the cause of your grief. I feel it too. You have to let it go.

All systems of men will fall because they challenged Gods sovereignty. Jesus is called King of Kings and Lord of Lords for a reason. If you issue a challenge to his sovereignty, you essentially declare war against him. You are wasting your time trying to redeem a system that's at war with God. Let what God deems unworthy fall and follow his will when we rebuild. Its inevitable at this point. All of creation waits in eager anticipation and groans for the manifestation of the sons of God and the return of the King. God is doing a new thing, rejoice and keep watch.

Firstly, sorry, but you are in fact a gifted writer. That was beautiful, heart-felt and visceral. You capture so well what I'm referring to. ... written into the fabric of the universe, into our hearts... yes indeed. By any name - what you call the holy spirit, as the source of truth, I'm calling this deeper current that runs throughout nature.

Whatever opening we find into these mysteries, for me, doesn't matter. Everyone is invited, but we do need to position ourselves in humility and get over thinking we have the answers.

Just lovely. Your faith is obviously a Source of great strength for you and I admire that. So appreciate your sharing this. 💝

Hold tight to faith, I think this is the harvest or the sorting of the wheat and tares. God always raises a standard in response to great evil rising. Right beside the absolute worst humanity has to offer is also the very best. So many seemingly ordinary people have become extraordinarily lumionious in response to this darkness.

Heaven on earth is already manifesting for some of us. But we have to let go of all our ties to the terminally ill in our life to claim it. Something much easier said than done, I had to have Jesus intervene before I realized it. There is nothing more you can do, its in Gods hands now. Thats why you are no longer motivated to write, because deep down you know that window is closed now. Things cannot ever go back to the way they used to be.

Let yourself be happy, you did not labor in vain. You tried, which is more than most can say. Rest.

Another beautiful reflection. Thank you.

In the presence of death, and bearing witness to cruelty, reaching for a returning to the living is natural, and healthful. Nurturing little things that grow, finding fleeting beauty, are like mouthfuls of water in a dessert. Still, sometimes those things are not enough.

It’s in the presence of older, more ancient webs of life, where we can find a deeper resonance. Surfers find it in the ocean. Hikers can find it in the woods. With practice, it can be found in a fall of rain, the song of birds, the passing wind, or in a beam of sunlight. Wherever we find it, if we’re open to it, the web pulses and fairly throbs. Old trees are wonderful centers, a nexus of life and memory.

I once would visit an old Birch in the woods near where I lived once. It was old, and strangely familiar, even on first meeting. When once I had a near-death occurrence, I experienced a kind of amnesia for several days. I visited that old Birch everyday, sitting in its company in silence. Gradually, in its presence, every memory returned. I can still see that tree in my mind.

Connecting to everything that surrounds us is powerful medicine. And essential for balancing the chaos that rumbles through us.

Beautifully written. I agree that we just need to tune out the noise. There is an unbelievable amount of nonsense and psychological warfare going on right now, so just don’t take it in.

For me its like going back to the 90’s when I was in my twenties and did not own a tv, I just listened to music and made art and I was happy.

I also take solace in nature, especially the trees and the birdsong we are so fortunate to have in our neighborhood full of mature trees.

I mostly paint abstract art but have been thinking of painting the trees recently. Every morning the way the light falls across the patch of woods in my neighbors yard is like a little miracle of light and color. Watching it is such a nice way to start the day.

Don’t know if you walk barefoot on the ground much but I have taken it up over the past year and feel more calm and energized when I do. Growing up at the beach we went barefoot all the time but in the Midwest not so much. Grounding to the earth is supposed to balance our bodies electrical system.

That doesn't resolve my desire to have a milk cow, which I would like! And I'm no farmer but willing. We have our own water and some solar power. Nature is real. Nature is complicated. Nature is God, or actually a gift from God - whatever and however one wants to describe it.
