Starting a garden is just the start. When the declaration was put to writing most people knew how to take care of themselves, they didn't need that document. But people today don't know how to take care of themselves and do need that document to learn they are nothing more than pawns, even worse, do whatever the politician, either the black or white stripe of a skunk, tells them to do. Because they can't take care of themselves.
Starting a garden is just the start of becoming independent again. I have to make this as simple as possible to at least put the key in the ignition
The Declaration of INDEPENDENCE is very much contrary to the position most humans find themselves to be.
Learn to garden with only local resources as inputs, then learn without any external inputs. The idea is being Independent of the food system as it exists *gasp*.
Next to no one is to this point so after that its not discernable, at least until the food part is producing more energy than is required to grow it, its an energy audit of the lifestyle one operates. The results of the audit is pretty bloody ugly as now exists.
Yes, indeed. My Ukrainian mother-in-law spends hours on the garden on our 3/10 acre property. She loves it. It gives her energy. The kids and I get drafted to clean things up and do spade work.
An image that will remain forever in my mind is working the land early last March while Russian artillery was pounding Irpen and Bucha to the northwest and Brovary to our East. We felt part of something eternal in a very transient world.
The most dangerous and insidious institution has to be public schools. That's where they encourage (demand) obedience and destroy the love of learning.
Why do we comply? As the April 15th tax deadline approaches, it’s a serious question. Thank you for this back to the absolute basics Kathleen. We need more reminders, we need to teach independence. In the last few years we’ve learned we can’t trust our lawmakers, our law enforcement, our judiciary system, the drug companies, medical facilities including doctors and nurses. Yes, people will do anything for money. Even our churches bend...what’s left? We the people are left. Our mouths forming the words, we do not comply. We are our own authority. YOU work for ME and you’re fired.
Music is a tremendous mechanism, we need a good songwriter and guitar on this pronto!!!
Wow! This one should shake our core and incite our brain cells. Sadly, it probably would sound like Greek to the woke; a concept so far out of some people's wheelhouse that grasping it is near to impossible. Fortunately, many people smarter than me have explained how we got here, and most of us are fully aware of the corruption that fills every institution in this country. We can look back at history and see the parallels between the present and other times and places. And the government has crafty ensnared at least half the population to be dependent on its largesse. I'm ashamed to admit that I'm one of them as my husband is a military retiree.
We had dinner with like minded friends last night. Hours were spent rehashing problems that readers here know only too well. I raised the question as to solutions and actions, and everyone seemed flummoxed. My husband and I are in our 70s, but Rick, we've started our garden in our suburban back yard and we have 4 laying hens. I've started a project I call: Just Look Up. I hope by getting people to recognize that the skies no longer even slightly resemble the skies of my childhood that they may question other entities as well.
I'm grateful for people like Kathleen and Rick that encourages us to ponder, but pondering is not enough. No one can do everything, but everyone can do something. I hope other readers will share their ideas and specific projects.
If anybody here is not familiar with Jordan Peterson, this is one of his main mantras, that to change a society you really need to change the individuals. He wants people to concentrate on responsibility, not rights. Clean up yourself, then your immediate vicinity. That is hard enough. If enough people do that, however, the rest begins to take care of itself.
I love it. It takes courage to claim your selfhood. You need the steely will to say "No" to
- government that wants to force things on you (viz, masks and jabs)
- people who call you names (viz. racist, anti-Semite, etc.)
- people who try to elicit false sympathy (poor transvestites, homeless, addicts, etc.)
Best plan is to vote with your feet. Move far from the blue states - from the western democracies if possible - to somewhere where the government is no more than a distant, unfamiliar entity.
Many people in rural areas seem to be more awake and have contempt for government and respect for nature. I'm too old to move, but if moving out of the US were not an option, Graham's advice is spot on.
I don't agree though with his conclusion. I don't think what we're seeing is an organic movement against fertility and by extension the future, because we've failed.
I think it's a very successful program that's held in place via broadcasts and frequency. (Which can break up and change or be defeated with other frequencies.) It's like a background static with silent messages people are absorbing. (The tech behind the spell.)
We still need - one by one - to take responsibility for ourselves - no doubt about that, but for those fully meshed in the with programs this has proven insanely difficult. Cracks are happening, and perhaps soon we'll see a burst. Let's hope so.
You're welcome. Fertility is much on my mind, with the recent death of the only one of my three grown children who had given any thought whatsoever to having children of her own.
I just completed an 8 week Biblical Citizenship class that was offered free at the Ohio Freedom Fighter meetings I attend every week. What an education we all received!
I agree, when we moved away from the Source of life itself (by any name) which when acknowledged brings humility and reverence, we turned our backs on exactly what we needed to live meaningful, good and abundant lives - aligned with Nature.
Claiming one’s sovereignty is everything. It is the fundamental act, at direct odds with the enchantment that seeds doubt and fear, and thus dependency.
We don’t have to be perfect, know everything, or be completely prepared; but we need to be brave and believe in our own potential and power to manifest, of which we are eminently endowed.
We’ve been encouraged and programmed to eschew the mundane in search of entertainment, convenience, and comfort. But those mundane things, mistaken for boring, are the very things we need to forge true independence.
Time to reclaim the wisdom and knowledge of our forebears.
I hear something yesterday which really struck as correct. If we require permission, or especially a license, to do something, then we are slaves and not free. In the UK we need a license to watch the TV or go fishing!
Yeah, I listened to someone a while back on the subject of licenses who said much the same. From our birth certificate onwards -we have agreed to being treated as a commodity that others will make money off of. Commodotized from the start. And, if giving birth in hospitals - we agree to being experimented on from day one. Isn't it astounding when you step back and look at it, all the ways we've gone along? We accept the world we're born into.
The extreme notion of being chipped (well used to be seen as extreme) is basically agreeing to a bar code.
The TV license is new for me. Though maybe not. You have to set up accounts with any platform and provide payment, so I suppose that amounts to the same thing...
The fishing - really outrages me. The fines in CT if 'caught' (you know being a human being in relationship with nature) are significant.
It's long past the time where we need to stop going along with it.
The TV license is even more egregious, as it directly funds the BBC, one of the worse means of propaganda and conditioning there is. Currently about £120 per year!
Similar to our increasing dependence on smartphones. We fund ourselves being tracked, data-mined, programmed (enslaved!) and really who knows what else is broadcast out of those 'essential' devices. Truly devious.
Democracy might be the worst form of government (except compared to anything else), but I don't vote because I believe it's an endorsement of my subjugation to the state. A consent that others represent and speak for me. Hell, no they don't.
It is my intention to help others learn how to wield the sword of word and gain understanding of the authority of Jesus Christ. Also to start a new trend. A bold faith that mocks the devil. THOSE WHO KILL WITH THE SWORD MUST BE KILLED WITH THE SWORD.
All men serve a master. In order to not just make this claim but also hold true to it under the inevitable forces that will attempt to crush you once you claim it you need faith in something greater than yourself. Just your will and authority is not enough, you need a higher authority and will to call on when under pressure. Lord Jesus Christ is the authority you need to make this claim. I will send a link, an example of what kind of persecution you will face and just how much weight the authority of his name holds. I suggest reading the entire thread to the end it is a real life example of exercising spiritual warfare and claiming authority in Jesus Christ.

I know that Rick, and it is key to living independently, so I appreciate your message.
Yes, they like us fully dependent. Then it's just a small leap to cyborg.
There are gardeners, lots of them, my message to start a garden is not for them. Those with gardens require a different message.
And what would that message be?
Expand and promote the garden!
Beyond that its about reducing dependence on this economic slave system. Having realistic expectations is the next simple message.
👍

Beautifully said.
I don't think there are very many who want independence so prepare yourselves for maximum security (prison). Most think this is a joke...
I guess we'll find out. But I agree, seems many are willing to hand it all over.
No doubt. And it's so bad now, I think schools are dangerous. I'm glad my kids are all grown.
Yes, I think so too - some will still awaken - and why we keep trying, right?
Good for you, no small achievement in this environment.
The most dangerous and insidious institution has to be public schools. That's where they encourage (demand) obedience and destroy the love of learning.

We comply, as you intimate, largely out of fear.
We need big numbers don't we - they can't imprison all of us. Until then individuals have to be willing to take a stand.
We the people, are left. And of us, only those who are aware of what's at stake. Though I believe those numbers will continue to grow.
I love that idea. 🎸
Thank you, Lisa.

What a beautiful and heart-warming comment, Nancy. Thank you.
We're all products of the reality we were born into and the propaganda to prop it up.
And now we're all here to watch it unwind. Oh, my.
Nice on the garden and chics.
I suspect those behind it all are desperate and so dangerous, but also on their way out. The more we figure out for ourselves the easier it will be.
Best to you.

Makes sense to me. :-)
(But don't for one second give up those innate rights in the process.)
Thank you.
Absolutely not!! 🙂
What areas if you don't mind me asking? And could you elaborate on why you think he's broken? I have my own ideas as well.
I love it. It takes courage to claim your selfhood. You need the steely will to say "No" to

Well I know enough about you Graham to know you walk your talk.
It does take courage, and that courage has a way of translating into strength.
I've been thinking about that - a move. May well be in the cards. And a community that shares these basic, essential values.
Thank you. Best.
Many people in rural areas seem to be more awake and have contempt for government and respect for nature. I'm too old to move, but if moving out of the US were not an option, Graham's advice is spot on.
I've noticed the same.
I think the more time you spend in nature, the less of a hold that spell has on you.
I agree.
You got it. Basic, essential values. Here's another Substack I'm planning on commenting on.
https://chrisbray.substack.com/p/the-loathing-of-fertility-is-the?
I read that and agree, a lot of great insights.

Nail meet hammer. You succinctly described how gas lighting works so well. Thankfully, many of us can see through the BS.
And more all the time. However grudgingly for many. :-)

Watch the 3 minute video.
IMO, once we took God out of the equation, that’s when everything went to shit.
I'll check it out Laura.
I agree, when we moved away from the Source of life itself (by any name) which when acknowledged brings humility and reverence, we turned our backs on exactly what we needed to live meaningful, good and abundant lives - aligned with Nature.
Nothing good is gonna come from that.
Thank you!
just did a refresher read, our current list of grievances are just as serious
https://www.archives.gov/founding-docs/declaration-transcript
Thank you! I'll take a look.
Good lord, I should hope so - can't imagine things getting much worse. (Though I've said that before and been proven wrong.)
😹

Once again, a wonderful reflection. 🙏🏽
Thank you, TFish. I always look forward to your comments as they tend to make me wish I included your thoughts in the piece. A good expanse.
Yes, so many distractions to keep us from this fundamental realization.
The thanks should go to you. Your essays stimulate excellent internal exploration and reflection. Much gratitude for your writing. 🙏🏽

If everyone had that sense of authorship, Steve, we likely wouldn't have any governments. Which would be good with me.
The Anthem. Sounds good to me. I am in and have been in since the beginning.♥

Excellent, Kathleen. I'm still having trouble with the ko-fi app. Sorry.
Thank you for the incredible resource you put together of references at our fingertips, a monumental effort and labor of love.
Thank you so much, Rocket. I've had issues with it to. No worries! I appreciate your energetic support.💕
Never a dull moment around here, Kathleen. I’m catching up on so many stacks, I regret my absence. Always worth lurking in yours.
Oh, well I know the challenge of keeping up! I hope your time off was refreshing.
Thank you!
Thank you, JR!
