If I had to choose a single word to describe the last two years… I couldn’t do it. But confusing would be in the mix. As well as maddening and disturbing.
I’ve spent an inordinate amount of time looking at alternative information as I’ve tried to come to grips with what is happening. I’d given up watching main street news a dozen years ago, so finding alternative voices was not new to me, and I had already found my ‘go-to’s’ and eliminated a bunch of others. Of course with Covid, a whole new crop of voices emerged and so the process of finding credible voices began again.
Like many others, I quickly discovered that sharing information during this time of, (what I call) the global spell - and others have referred to a mass formation, or psychosis, or hypnosis - was not easy. Trusted friends and family weren’t interested in any countering view and sometimes I received hostile notes back. More often, silence was the reply.
Now more than two years in, I’m ready to pivot. As James Corbett has been saying, it’s time to focus on solutions. Sure, some are still waking up to the madness, many are not, but I’m ready to break the two-year pattern of information-hunting that has consumed most of my days. Like anything repeated over and over, it’s become a habit and I see the downside of it. Actions have been delayed - almost like a state of paralysis - while I’ve been watching the show.
Of course I’m not saying there aren’t new things to learn, or that I’m ignoring where we are as a collective. Just that it’s time to get on with it.
The old world is collapsing. That’s happening even if you don’t believe it, or don’t notice it. It’s happening and the signs are everywhere. When you do see it, it’s hard not to watch. Hard not to be mesmerized by it. What an extraordinary thing to witness. My jaw has literally dropped more in the last two years than in all the decades preceding them. So I fully understand why I’ve been in its grip.
The collapse, or great unraveling will take time of course. It took many years to build our world, so it won’t come down overnight. (But we are getting close.) And truly it started long before this latest man-made bioweapon was unleashed. What I’m wondering about now, is, in the midst of it, what kind of actions can I take that support the new world that will inevitably come and is only now in the very early stages of being created? Because what’s clear at this point, is that a new world will indeed be emerging. And we - each individual one of us - will have a say in how that looks.
While there are no shortages of villains in the current outrage we call Covid, as well plenty of accomplices along a spectrum spanning ignorance to knowledge, we can’t really create a new world without taking our share of responsibility too.
Yes, we’ve been lied to, mislead, misdirected. Yes, we’ve been intentionally manipulated via ongoing efforts of division to find enemies within, rather than looking at the invisible hand behind all of it. We’ve been experimented on psychologically from our governments and their corporate arms. We’ve been experimented on physically with the jab. We’ve been censored and ridiculed. We could say, with much justification, that we are victims.
But. We are also culpable. We’ve allowed the steady and sure progress of tyranny into our lives. We’ve trusted entities we had no reason to trust. We got lazy and distracted. The endless enticements of entertainment sucked us in. The dumbing down of news and our overall culture, was tolerated. We didn’t hold elected officials accountable. We became complacent and cynical. (Well, what can you do? All politicians are liars.) And so on.
Besides, being a victim, perceiving oneself as a victim, is hardly empowering. We need to make ourselves the heros of the next chapter of our story. How do we do that?
For starters, we own our part of it. Acknowledge where we accepted the lies or chose to be passive when we could have spoken up. Then, what seems obvious, is to stop participating in the slave-system. As Catherine Austin Fitts has put it, come clean with ourselves. If we’re banking at one of the criminal banks, stop. If we’re buying crap food, stop. If you want a say in our future, it starts with taking an honest assessment of who you right now. And it’s not just about no longer supporting those who would enslave us, it’s about supporting those who are offering things - information or physical products - that we do value.
Defining our values, personally and collectively is key. Values are easy to identify, it’s where you spend your time, energy and money. So if you’re watching CNN, and buying stuff on Amazon, you might want to put some conscious attention on that. That will get us more of the same. And we know that doesn’t work. That said, we will all define our values uniquely.
While I’ve been focused on the attempt of a few to take over the many, it’s often slipped my awareness, of just how easy it is to end it. We could, with enough of us, stop this in its tracks. We have the numbers. In spades. If enough of us just stopped complying it would be over in a hot minute. That’s all we need to do. It really is that simple. And think of the power of it. We stop watching the propaganda. We stop shopping at their stores or buying their phones or watching their programs. If our government is behaving like outlaws why would we give them our money? As Jefferson said, “A true patriot will defend his country from its government.” It’s time to behave as citizens of a democratic republic. Who know their rights, and their responsibilities. Just because our government is ignoring the Constitution, doesn’t mean we should.
I believe the future is positive. I believe humanity wins. I also believe it will come at much unnecessary suffering and loss of life. It already has. For me, now, the question is what will I do to help usher in a new and better world? I’m still coming clean in my own life. Dropped Amazon, and the main street media, bank at a community bank and support local farmers. I can do more. I will.
Great unraveling, you say. Yarns, I'm hearing. New yarns'll be necessary, then.
I was away from civilization from roughly 2012 through 2022. I've been back for five months, very immersed, but I'm skimming through archives to see what I missed. "Great unraveling" noted.
you make the comment that endless enticements of entertainment have sucked us in, that is part of the Protocols. Part of the play book. that you have seen this and realized this so quickly is amazing. i have been watching for decades.
